This inexpensive yet large vacation rental includes utilities, plowing, and access to the property grounds. For as little as $400 for two nights, the Windham Country House is a vacation rental most budgets can afford. You can come at any time of the year for whatever length of time you choose -- from a weekend to a year or more. With an annual lease, it's an affordable rental of $1800 a month. | RATES
Now - December 10, 2009: $250/night; $1400/wk; $3000/mo December 11 - April 8, 2010: $300/night; $1750/week; $3500/mo April 9 - June 10, 2010: $200/night; $1000/wk; $2200/mo For parties with more than eight adults, there is an additional charge of $10 per night for each adult beyond eight adults. RENTAL POLICIES
Occupancy
Renters have full use of Windham Country House’s Pine Room, Cherry Suite, Maple Suite, and Great Room, with all their comforts and amenities.
Minimum Stay
Rentals are for a minimum of two days.
Deposits
To secure reservation, payment for 50% of the full rent must be received within seven days of booking. The remaining 50% plus tax is due upon arrival. Personal checks, bank checks, or cash are accepted for payments.
Cancellations
Refunds of deposits will be made under the following circumstances: (1) if notice of cancellation is received two weeks prior to the first day for stays of less than one week, three weeks prior to the first day for stays of one week to under one month, four weeks prior to the first day for stays of one month, and eight weeks prior to the first day for seasonal stays; or (2) if the Windham Country House is re-rented for the entire time period of the reservation cancelled. If these circumstances are met, 90 percent of the deposit will be refunded. If these circumstances are not met, none of the deposit will be refunded.
If a party does not cancel its full reservation but shortens the length of its stay, the rental fee for all originally booked days will be required unless notification of the shortened stay is given according to the time table stated in the paragraph above. In that case, $25 will be required for each day cancelled.
Check-in
Normal check-in time is 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Alternate times can be arranged, but please let us know in advance.
Check-out
12:00 Noon. Later departures require advance approval and may involve an additional fee.
Tax
Please note that the 9% Vermont tax is additional on all rentals under 30 days.
Children
Children are welcomed.
Pets
Pets are welcomed. However, all dogs must have had their annual shots and dogs must have been vaccinated for canine cough (also called kennel cough). If your dog causes damages to the premises, you must reimburse the Windham Country House the full cost of repairs or replacements. Renters are required to pay a $100 deposit for each dog, refundable at the end of the stay.
Smoking
Smoking is only allowed outside. (Vermont State Law).
