The Windham Country House is available as a long-term rental property with an annual lease. If you would love to have a second home in Vermont but don't want the hassle of finding, buying, and furnishing a place, this might well be the answer for you.

Its 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 600-square-foot Great Room, two porches, and one deck come fully furnished with utilities and maintenance provided. A long-term renter who signs an annual lease will enjoy the Windham Country House for only $1800 a month. That's fully furnished with water, electricity, gas, plowing, and lawn maintenance.

The Windham Country House offers you a real Vermont getaway, just three hours from Boston and four from Manhattan. Located on a mountainside, surrounded by nature’s beauty, the house is beautifully landscaped. The owners tend the grounds, so you don’t have to mow!

The owners will consider renting to one or two families or to someone coordinating a group of friends. The Cherry Suite and the Maple Suite each have two bedrooms and a bath, ideal for two families. The secluded Pine Room and bath work nicely for your guests or for those who need more privacy or want a room on the main floor.

Although you'll be off the beaten path, you won't be isolated. You'll be in one of three apartments in the building – this one (which is the largest), the one lived in by the owners (Mary and Michael), and another smaller one (with long-term tenants). You'll see these people no more than you want, and at the same time you'll enjoy having someone nearby to provide neighborly help when needed. The owners will look after your place when you're away, heat it up for you before you return, water your plants, etc.
